BUSINESS INTELLIGENCE ANALYST

General description

You will collaborate with cross-functional teams to understand their data needs, develop analytical solutions, and present findings to key stakeholders. This role requires a strong analytical mindset, excellent problem-solving skills, and the ability to communicate complex data in a clear and concise manner.

Responsibilities:

  • Data Analysis and Interpretation:
    • Gather and analyze large datasets from multiple sources to identify patterns, trends, and correlations.
    • Apply statistical analysis techniques and data mining methods to extract valuable insights.
    • Interpret data to provide actionable recommendations for improving business performance and identifying opportunities.
  • Report Development and Visualization:
    • Design and develop reports, dashboards, and data visualizations to present key performance indicators and metrics.
    • Use data visualization tools to create clear and visually appealing displays of complex data.
    • Communicate insights effectively to stakeholders, including executives, managers, and team members.
  • Data Modeling and Forecasting:
    • Develop data models and implement forecasting methods to support strategic decision-making.
    • Utilize predictive analytics techniques to anticipate market trends, customer behavior, and business outcomes.
    • Collaborate with stakeholders to identify forecasting needs and ensure accurate and reliable models.
  • Collaborative Partnership:
    • Collaborate with cross-functional teams to understand their data requirements and develop analytical solutions.
    • Work closely with business stakeholders to translate business questions into data-driven analyses.
    • Provide guidance and support in utilizing data to optimize processes, drive efficiency, and achieve business objectives.

You will report to the CBIO.

Requirements & competencies

  • A related masters’ degree (DS, CS, ML, Sciences, OR, STATS, BA or Engineering)
  • 2-5 years of experience in an analytical role 
  • Knowledge and experience in PowerBI
  • Experience in programming with SQL (knowledge of DML), R/Python
  • Experience in working with regression, boosting, classification and clustering algorithms, and decision tree based techniques
  • Strong data visualization skills and story-telling ability with data
  • Technical understanding of statistical inference, experimentation, and machine learning
  • Experience in working with one of the code sharing platforms and cloud based environments
